If you want to try to remove a leather wrinkle on your own, be careful. Look for guidelines from your product brand on how to take care of your product and avoid wrinkles. Then follow their advice.

  • You can get rid of wrinkles using a flat iron. Be careful.
  • To keep the leather product form, pack it with old crumpled newspaper. It is ideal to pack it as tightly as possible.
  • Set your iron to a moderate temperature.
  • Take a wet towel and squeeze the water out. Fold the towel in half and put it over the creased area on the leather item.
  • Iron the cloth over the wrinkle for a few seconds. Then check to see if the wrinkle is gone. If it is, smooth out the cloth by ironing it over the crease several times more. If it looks like the heat is damaging your leather item, stop ironing.
  • When you finish, leave your leather product to cool while leaving the newspaper inside it.
